Six Harbour Walk Practical Details

Rotary International works in the local community, nationally and worldwide.  The 2022 Six Harbour Walk is about supporting people in need, enhancing and transforming lives and supporting groups within our communities.

Registering for the Six Harbour Walk
Please register on line, using the button on our website (www.SixHarbourWalk.com) or our buttons on Facebook, Twitter or on the Rotary Club of Buckie website.

Names
When applying to join the walk your name and address/email address will be retained on a Rotary Club of Buckie database.  This will only be used to inform you of future Six Harbour Walks and for no other purpose.

Registration Fee
The advance registration fee is £20, payable by all adults taking part.
Registration on the day is £20.  Accompanied children under the age of 16 on the date of the walk are exempt from the entry fee. The entry fee helps Rotary to cover the cost of transport, and administration, thereby enabling us to pass all your sponsorship money on to the nominated charities.  The entry fee cannot be refunded in the event of cancellation, but any surplus funds will be donated wholly to the nominated charities.

Sponsor Money

We are grateful to you and your sponsor for supporting the causes to benefit from the walk. Please try to return all sponsor money and your sponsor sheet before the end of May. Your sponsor money can be paid into our charity account at the Post Office or bank.  Cheques can also be posted to Rotary Club of Buckie, c/o 33 Station Road, Findochty, Buckie. AB56 4PJ.   You can use digital banking to pay into the Rotary Club of Buckie Six Harbour Walk Account No 00124470  Sort Code: 83-16-40   Whichever method you choose, please reference the walker's name(s) with the payment.

Groups
Four or more people can join the Six Harbour walk and raise funds for their own chosen charity.  All funds raised are split 50/50 between the group's chosen charity and the Six Harbour Walk charities. Group Leaders are asked to register members of their group online, but please remember to enter your group’s charity name.  Individual entries can be accepted, but the group’s charity name should be entered at registration. The Group Leader is responsible for briefing walkers, co-ordinating and collecting money, etc. He or she will be the contact person for the Six Harbour Walk organisers. Your group name should be the name of your chosen charity

Youth Groups
All groups involving young people under the age of 16 must abide by the guidelines of their Education Authority or Governing Body.  Group Leaders are responsible for ensuring parents and carers are informed and have given their consent.  Group leaders are responsible for the safety and welfare of their group on the walk.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by parent, carer or teacher/youth leader.   Photographs will be taken on the walk and could be published on a You Tube walk video. Please ensure parents and carers give their consent to this.  Names will never, of course, be published and everyone has a right not to be included in a photo if they wish.

Thank you!
