Macmillan Cancer SupportMacmillan Cancer Support provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.  As well as helping with people's medical needs, Macmillan also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach out and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.

Mercy Ships  -  Mercy Ships has helped transform the lives of more than 2.54 million people in the poorest countries of the world since 1978. The volunteer crew of the Africa Mercy is made up of more than 400 volunteers from more than 45 nations.  Volunteers are responsible for paying all costs associated with their own service, including crew fees, travel expenses, passports, immunizations, insurance and personal expenses. Because of this commitment, Mercy Ships is able to use the direct contributions from its supporters to bring hope and healing to the poorest of the poor.

North East Sensory Services -  NESS supports people with serious sight and/or hearing loss.   Sensory loss impacts many aspects of day to day life and many people lose confidence doing activities that they previously enjoyed.  NESS provides the right practical, social and emotional support to people living with a sensory loss. Such support has been  shown to help people adapt more quickly to their sensory loss and to go on to achieve a greater degree of independence.

Castle Hill Project, Cullen  -  The Castle Hill Project aims to open up Castle Hill, a historic site which overlooks Cullen's Seatown, to a condition where it can be enjoyed by everyone once again.  Cullen Past & Present Volunteer Group have ambitious plans to clear vegetation and open up paths that will allow disabled access up to this magnificent viewpoint. The community has now come  together with a project to clear the hill and bring it back to life, so once again people can climb it, picnic on it or just enjoy the fantastic views it affords of the Moray Coast.

Local Voluntary Organisations and Charities - Rotary International works worldwide, nationally and in the local community, to support people in need, build communities and transform lives. The Rotary Club of Buckie encourages local voluntary organisations and charities to apply for support.
